Hi. I'm Pete Birdsong, Superintendent of Division 10, Mid Central Region, National Model Railroad Association. IF YOU'RE NOT HAVING FUN, LET ME KNOW. Email me at: rrpeteb@gmail.com Welcome to our web site. Click the tabs at left to browse the site, check out the RECENT UPDATES box below, and the CALENDAR for what's happening. 'S UP? Our February meeting will be a different fare: we'll have a panel discussion on 'Building My Layout' moderated by Bill Robbins, participants Larry Smith, Tom Bensberg and Stew Winstandley; the tour will be of Mark Hunt's HO scale layout currently under construction; should be interesting for anyone who's ever built or contemplated building a layout. See summaries of their layouts in the Lantern. B&B: Your Structure for a Diorama or just a Structure. Also in February is our OPS trip on the 25th to Charleston and Bob Weinheimer's layout. There's still time to sign up - click the tab at left. The January meeting exceeded my expectations; each of the three clinics was very well done, informing, interesting and entertaining. Well done to Bill Paulsell, Lou Jaquith and Mark Underwood. Mark agreed to come back for a clinic on JMRI in the near future. It was also fun to tour Rich Raspenti's N-scale layout. Our thanks to Rich for hosting it. It was great to have father/son guests Larry & Joel Nelson at the meeting. Thanks for coming, guys - hope you'll join us as members. The Bring & Brag rules have been updated to clarify the scoring method, and to require the Information Sheet we have been using. Please check out the new rules by clicking the Bring Brag tab at left, and then clicking on the Bring & Brag Rules. You'll need to follow the changes in February. Congratulations to new member Rich Mattan, who visited last month and subsequently joined. Welcome back, Rich. Thanks also to renewing member Bruce DeMaeyer, And a gentle reminder to Thomas Bookout and Ron Kercheval to renew. We don't want to lose you, guys. I encourage all of you who have not filled out a member profile yet to get that done and sent to Tom Bensberg so he can add it to the web site. Since we cannot post the roster without an opt-in, this is our best way to get to know who's who in the division, what layouts/scales/interests they have, etc. The form is on the Membership page.
