OFFICERS 

SUPERINTENDENT, WEBMASTER, MEMBERSHIP, AP CO-CHAIR

Pete Birdsong, a retired IBM systems planner, holds monthly operating sessions on his turn of the century On30 logging pike. He's served Division 10 in several capacities.

Pete is a Master Model Railroader, with Achievement Program certificates in Rolling stock, Electrical and Civil engineering, Chief Dispatcher, Volunteering, Scenery and Author.

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT, PROGRAM CHAIR

Bill Robbins, retired from the Southern Pacific and the former Illinois Central Paducah Shops, hosts monthly operations sessions on his basement HO layout featuring mostly UP operations in three eras. Bill has served in several managerial and committee chair posts in Division 10.

SECRETARY, EDITOR,

MEMBER DATABASE & PHOTOGRAPHER

Stew Winstandley is a retired computer programmer from The Jockey Club, but still programming part time. He has N-scale track eight feet above floor level in a sun room. He formats and distributes the monthly newsletter, and is the Division 10 photographer.

 

 

TREASURER

Lou Jaquith, a retired owner of a dental lab, has a multi-level basement layout in HO, a garden railroad, and has served Divison 10 in mulitple capacities.

MEMBER PROFILES CHAIR 

Tom Bensberg, a retired fertilizer blending plant manager, has two small layouts, one in O, the other N.  Both are in the very early stages. He is also active in the Bluegrass Railroad Club, serving as a board member, Boy Scout RR merit badge committee member and frequent operator at the annual Southern Lights train display. 859-421-9791  tombens@insightbb.com

SALES CHAIR

Tom Bookout is building an HO layout in his home, and serves as Sales Chair. Tom is also active in the Bluegrass Railroad Club, and the Bluegrass Scenic Railroad and Museum.

 

CONVENTIONS & SHOWS CHAIR

Ed Butcher is retired from several careers, including railroading, and has served in many roles in Division 10. He is building an HO layout in his basement. is also active in the Bluegrass Scenic Railroad and Museum.
 

 

ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM CO- CHAIR

 Wendell Greer, a retired engineer from IBM, has an HO basement layout featuring several advanced technical and scenery techniques, and has served Divsion 10 in many capacities over the years. Wendell is an Achievement Program Master Model Railroader, with certificates in Motive Power, Cars, Structures, Civil & Electrical Engineering, and Author. 

 

MARKETING & ADVERTISING CHAIR

Mark Hunt owns the Lexington Glass Company, and is building an HO scale layout in his basement. He serves as Marketing & Advertising Chair.

AUCTIONEER

Brian Jones is employed by Mason & Hanger and serves as Auctionbeer. He is working on an On30 logging and mining layour situated in the Red River Gorge area and is currently negotiating property rights and funding.


RECEPTION & DOOR PRIZE CHAIR

Tom Krill is employed by Clark Material Handling in Sales and Marketing,  International Business and Aftermarket Parts Operations. He is building an On30 layout, and currently serves as Reception & Door Prize Chair.

 

 

EDUCATION CHAIR

Tom Miller, a retired university professor and author, practices the hobby in American Flyer S gauge.  He has served NMRA Division 10 as an officer,  in editing the LANTERN, and enjoys participating in OPS, Bring & Brag, "Southern Lights" and "Trains, Planes and Automobiles." 

Tom is the NMRA Mid Central Regional Education Chair and has participated in the Boy Scouts of America, Model Railroading Merit Badge program.

AP & CREATIVITY CO-CHAIR

Bill Paulsell, a retired minister and university president, has an HO layout in the basement. It was recently rebuilt from the benchwork up to enhance its operations potential, and Bill hosts a regular operations session. He is currently working on his Achievement Program certificates, working towards becoming a Master Model Railroader. Bill also has a garden railroad in the back yard. 

Bill is a past Superintendent.

CONTESTS CHAIR, CREATIVITY CO-CHAIR

Fred Plymale is a retired executive of Maytag corporation, and is the founder of Division 10 in its modern institution. He is rebuilding his basement HO layout, and has served Divsion 10 in multiple capacities, including Superintendent.

BRING & BRAG CHAIR 

Larry Smith , a retired Operations Analyst with the State of Georgia, is building an HO layout in the basement of his home in Lawrenceburg. He plans to host operating sessions there in the future. Larry has several AP certificates, and is working towards becoming a Master Model Railroader.
